Issue

Due to the frequent overheating of the vehicle in high temperatures, and the unprofessional installation of some additional equipment in the engine part of the vehicle, it happens that the engine installation suffers a load and it self-ignites on the vehicle. The example shown in the picture where an expensive vehicle was totally damaged due to a fire in the engine compartment.

The solution

Almax decided to approach the problem and find a solution that would prevent huge or total damage if there is a fire in the engine part of the vehicle and thus reduce the costs of repairing the vehicle.

By pairing a fire extinguisher with aerosol generators and a GPS device that controls and constantly monitors vehicle parameters as well as the temperature in the engine compartment, a complete product for automatic-remote fire extinguishing has been created. By setting up various sensors for detecting fire and large heat sources in combination with a GPS device, we managed to get the right information when a fire broke out in the engine part of the vehicle, and therefore the GPS device automatically sends a signal to the fire extinguishing device, which under high pressure ejects microscopic particles for a few seconds. size and a high dispersion was thus achieved.

This dispersion, after the release of the gas, is maintained in the air as a volumetric concentration of the room and thus acts directly on extinguishing the flame, and within a few seconds, the source of the fire itself.

If the device loses its main power source as a result of a fire, the device also contains a backup battery that will ensure that the system functions without problems and immediately send a message to the monitoring system that the fire extinguishing device has been activated.

There is also the possibility that the responsible person monitoring the vehicle from the control center can remotely activate the generator to extinguish the fire if he notices that the engine temperature is much higher than average.

Results

The fire in the engine part of the vehicle was successfully extinguished and therefore the repair costs were reduced to a minimum and the vehicle was saved from total damage.
