Risk assessment
In order to comply with legal obligations and standards in the field of risk assessment, as well as to reduce the risk of potential natural disasters and technical-technological accidents, various types of crime, threats to the environment, fires and explosions, occupational safety and other types of threats, the company's team of licensed appraisers Almaks doo Beograd began the development of the Disaster Risk Assessment, the Protection and Rescue Plan and the Act on Risk Assessment in the Protection of Persons, Property and Business.
The work of preparing the Disaster Risk Assessment and risk assessment in the protection of persons, property and business was started with the formation of a working group, which in the first phase of the project goes out into the field, familiarizes itself with the technological and work process of the company. After consultations and data obtained from the client, the conditions for making these assessments were met.
In the second phase, in order to create a Risk Assessment, based on the input data, we identified potential hazards that may occur at the location, which may be caused by natural disasters or technical-technological accidents. On the basis of the collected data and the documentation submitted by the client, we proceeded to create the document, according to the exact Methodology defined by the Law. By applying the appropriate parameters such as the probability of the occurrence of an unwanted event and the consequences for the protected value (employees, material goods, property,...) we obtained a result, i.e. the risk levels of danger to the company and employees, which we presented with so-called risk maps. We created risk maps in order to graphically and methodologically present the location of potential danger, with the positions of state administration bodies and emergency services, whose activity is to respond in the event of an extraordinary event, that is, an emergency situation.
The second phase aimed at creating a risk assessment in the protection of persons, property and business had the task of identifying security challenges, risks and threats. This identification was carried out through a site visit and a combination of the research tool of questionnaires and interviews with the client's working group. Through the coding of the subject data and the use of the methodology of the Serbian standard SRPS A.L2.003:2017, in accordance with which the risk assessment is made, each risk was assigned a numerical value and the level and category of the risk were obtained.
Based on the obtained results, in both risk assessments, we determined whether the risk of the identified hazards is acceptable or unacceptable. For unacceptable risks, we have provided a series of risk treatment measures that the company must introduce and apply, in order to reduce the risk to an acceptable level. This phase ends the process of creating a risk assessment in the protection of persons, property and business.
The risk assessment in the protection of persons, property and business registered the strengths and weaknesses of the organization's security system, as well as corrective measures were given, so that the organization itself would be ready for operational, strategic and tactical action in the event of the manifestation of any of the identified risks, and all in with the aim of reducing the period of system disorganization to a minimum and that damage to material and immaterial movable and immovable property, as well as persons, is as minimal as possible.
The protection and rescue plan is a document that we prepared in accordance with the Disaster Risk Assessment. It is the basic planning document on the basis of which employees are organized, prepared and participate in the execution of measures and tasks to protect and save human lives and material goods and company property. The plan tabulates who is responsible for what in the event of an emergency at the location.
By applying all these measures, the company achieved enormous benefits in terms of protection and rescue from natural disasters and technical-technological accidents. By creating these acts, the company acted proactively, with the aim of preventive action on potential dangers, and thereby significantly reduced the risk of their occurrence at the location. High-quality documents were drawn up, and this was confirmed by the approval of the entire documentation by the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Administration of the City of Belgrade for Emergency Situations.
